Extract selected PDF pages into a new document

Select PDF pages by number or thumbnail and save only the pages you need. Export one PDF or a separate PDF per page, with optional ZIP packaging.

Open PDF Tools to extract pages →

Select exactly the pages you need

Choose a PDF, then check thumbnails or enter a range such as 1-3, 6 in the page-number field. That example selects four pages: 1, 2, 3 and 6. The selection count updates beside the controls. A partly selected Select All checkbox clears the current selection when clicked; an empty checkbox selects all pages.

Understand selection and order

Ranges refer to positions in the current workspace. They may not match printed numbers, especially when a PDF has an unnumbered cover or Roman-numeral introduction. Open a thumbnail to inspect its content. After adding multiple PDFs or reordering pages, check the thumbnails again rather than relying on the original file numbering.

Save the selection as one PDF

Selecting pages switches the export scope to Selected pages. Confirm that scope, choose PDF as the format and One PDF as the output, then Download. Unselected pages remain in your workspace but are not included in that export. To include everything again, choose All pages. Use the pencil to give the extracted document a useful filename.

Split the selection into separate files

Choose One PDF per page instead of One PDF to make an individual document for each included page. Multiple output files are packaged in a ZIP automatically. A single PDF can also be zipped by enabling ZIP download. Extracting a page is different from deleting it: you do not need to delete the rest of your source document to export a selection.

Keep sensitive information safe

Crop changes the visible page area; it does not securely erase content outside that area. Do not use cropping as redaction. Keep source PDFs, inspect downloads and remember that rebuilding pages can remove signatures, bookmarks and some accessibility structure. Password-protected PDFs and interactive forms are not currently supported.

Example: keep pages 1–3 and 6

Four selected pages → one four-page PDF, in workspace order.

Where to look in PDF Tools: the range field is at the top left; export scope is at the bottom left; PDF output is beside Format. This screenshot shows a separate three-page selection, not the four-page example above.
